When cutting materials, separation process can be divided into three stages:

 

1) Elastic deformation stages: the initial stage of the punch just contact sheet, elastic deformation occurs.

2) Plastic deformation stage: punch downward pressure increases, plastic deformation until microcracks appear.

3) Fracture separation stage: the punch to continue downward, pressure increases, the micro crack propagation. Overlap, fracture, blanking force gradually decline.
